Gourd Guild

Years ago a small group of gourd enthusiasts got together to share their interest in and knowledge of gourd art. Almost instantly they became a family of artists helping each other and spreading the word about the wonderful things that could be done with the humble gourd. Since that time we have grown into an organization of over 100 members, spanning several states and Canada.

Over the last two years we have run the competition of gourd art for the Michigan Festival of Gourds. And now, showing in galleries and festivals, we have become seasoned judges, teachers and presenters.

Michigourders continue to encourage members to grow as artists as we support their own endeavors. Hopefully we will be able to aid other groups by providing the educational tools they need and a forum for networking. In the meantime, Michigourders keep marching forward.
